If I was a tourist, upon reaching Singapore's world class airport on 30 March in the morning, I picked out a brochure from the Singapore Tourism Board's Visitor Centre's Booth. Browse the contents of the brochure. Caught the headline: SHOPPING.
Adjust my eyes to glance further down the column. BINGO! Midnight Shopping Sale Experience - only happens on the last friday of the month! Now that's one hella shopping extravaganza not to be missed. And what luck that I'm in Singapore this very day!
Now, LUCK isn't really the word to describe how the midnight shopping went. It was utterly disappointing. I was there in the middle of Orchard Road hoping to get some really good deals to bring home at the end of it. I went home empty handed. Well perhaps they didn't see me coming. HAHAHA.
Among the entire Orchard Road, Only a handful of shopping malls were open. TANGS, PARAGON, WISMA, PACIFIC PLAZA, CENTREPOINT (I was pissed Ngee Ann City didn't participate). True, they were open. People kept streaming in and out of them. Only after going into a mere of 2 -5 shops out of the tens or hundreds they had in them.
Worst still, I made myself walk towards Pacific plaza from ngee ann city, looking forward for the much buzzed (based on the thousands flyers they were distributing along Orchard Road) 15% off Quicksilver, Rip Curl, Fox, and Stussy merchandise, only to be letdown. It was freaking 11pm and they were close? They got to brush up on their time management skills. It's M-I-D-N-I-G-H-T!! Equation = 12! You are not Cinderalla, I won't forgive you for not knowing that.
I've never felt cheated ever in my whole shopping sale spree adventure! (Well I confess there are certain times when they advertised - up to 90%! Knowing very well the fact most of the 90% are the faulty or leftover 10 yrs ago stocks! I was too naive to believe in all that gimmick. Still am guilty of that. Hahaha!) But being cheated by this midnight sale, takes it to another level of cheating. (Gee. Do I make sense in that sentence? LOL)
To begin with, it was overly advertised along Orchard Road itself and news of it were splashing on the 'NEW media' - coughs. And it wasn't a cool, breezy night to shop
- correction - CHEATED. It was stale and still and humid. The air-conditiong of most shops were half dead, despite the increasing warmth in the room temperature due to the flocks of shoppers. (I believe its for cost-saving effort to cover up for the extension of additional 2 hours of eletrical bill) - TOPMAN & TOPSHOP, you are truly guilty of that!! Take note.'nuff said.
Now, back to the 'If I was a tourist' scenario, I am truly disappointed.

There are so many things that happened everyday in my life. I had some of the best ones in mind to put it up as saviour posts for my soon-to-be defunct blog. But whenever I'm facing this page, fingers so ready to dance on the keyboards. my brain just drained out all the juice.
Instead I'll be posting random irrelevant posts online, which I must shamelessly admit some were good. Well they're informative to an extend. You can't deny that.
I've sent my resumes to some of the landscape firms around in Singapore. Sadly, I only a few of these firms that discreetly exist in Singapore. Unlike Architecture, landscape firms are smaller in size as a whole. And it doesn't matter if you were one of the tops students of the first batch of landscape students in Singapore. Honestly, internet is not helping. Well, that's not entirely its fault. I plead any landscape firms, please make yourself available on the internet! And for those who are in the landscape industry, I cheekily plead you to have me in your net-working yeah. hahaha.
Moving on, I've realized that my language has been atrocious, looking back at my previous posts. Grammar errors, spelling errors. But I blame most of them on my bouncy ecstatic fingers. The wonders of what your fingers can do...HAHAHA. Now isn't that disturbing! Cheeky cheeky. Cheeky girls! (Whatever happened to them? I wouldn't wanna know coz they are better off gone making annoying d-listed music, as well as obviously amateur lyrics.)
That does it. I'm off.

I've returned from a one week vacation to Penang and Langkawi.
Penang, guided by my uncle, was albeit similar to Singapore. It's surprisingly clean, green and well shaded despite its scorching sun and heat.
Stayed in Uncle's beautiful luscious condos situated opposite the coastline, it has one of the good views of the sea (even caught a firework display at one end of the coast at night). He had the most accesible location, a walk from the all rounded Gurney Mall, nearby eating places, and Subway, Starbucks, Coffee Bean, Mambo Club, directly two blocks away from his. Picture East Coast coastal development.
My uncle extended his invitation to us, anytime. Need a place. He has an extra key.
How exciting! I can't wait to go back to Penang. Didn't really got to try out the faous penang char kway teow! So might do that the next time.
Soon.
Langkawi has the best scenic landscapes in Malaysia hands down. Took the inclined cable car to the top of one of the hills (702++m abv sea level). The ride is pretty scary for those who have phobia of heights. But a great experience not to be missed. At the top, on a clear day, you'll be able to see the beautiful, breath taking view of the Andaman Seas.
I stayed in Sunset Beach Resort. Lush tropical oudoor garden settings, calming to your senses, friendly staffs. Rooms are a tad disappointing. Just bad pillows. I didn't really expect much from it in the first place. It's kinda predictable the rooms are influenced to create the real concpet of Malaysian Kampong living environment. Bottom line, its not a rundown dilapidated shack houses.
Lots of Caucasians are flocking Langkawi surprisingly. Sunset Beach Resort seems to be the number one host for them. We were honestly, the only asians roses among the pricky thorns.
And we were the noisiest bunch of monkeys that seems to invade the calming silent retreat atmosphere. No doubts, we got some head turnings. And when they do, I like to play Danity Kane's Showstopper in my head. Give them that smirk and glance like the DK girls do, while quietly in my head singing yeaaaahhhh!
Most of the Westerns were basking in the sun, tanning till they got the perfect red hot lobster shinning skin. They don't seem to participate in any of the water activities such as jet ski or kayak. I, in the otherhand, did the parasailing for a mere cheap RM60! It was my first time doing it, and it was the best nerve-wrecking experience. Hanging in the air, you could see a nice picturesque view of the beaches and nearby islands. It was kinda cheesy that I was humming to R Kelly's I Believe I Can Fly while I was waving to the little liliputs humans from up there? Thinking back, it's hilarious.
Parasailors have to watch out for their cue signal from the marshalls on the beach, to pull yourself down on the beach to land. Instead I unglamorously landed sideways, and plunged into the open sea. The marshalls told me it was rare for one to land in the sea, and that I should make it as one of the memorable experience. Hard to believe his words, but well hell yeah, not everyone gets to land in the sea from the sky that often. I bought the idea in the end. I'm psyched to tell everyone I plunged in the sea from the sky!
I definitely will love to invade Langkawi again! It wasn't satisfying enough for me. There's so much to cover and I only did a few. I recommend that if ever you feel like visiting, take at least a 7D/6N stay in Langkawi, rent a van or a car, or even a scooter which cost RM30 for a day!
After a long day of hardcore activities, should go visit the massage parlour. It's advisable to do it on an empty stomach. Lots of great seafood restaurants to head for. Don't worry you won't really die out of hunger. But most food outlets closed when the clock strikes around 11pm. So have quite an early dinner.
I'll try to post some of the photos I took in Langkawi and Penang.

-------
Did you freaks out there knew that
FALL OUT BOY'S This Ain't A Scene, It's An Arms Race was produced my music current hottest producer
TIMBALAND?!?
Lolita Shit!
I freaking didn't knew it!
Watched MTV's POP Inc. while watching the re-run encore telecast of Amazing Race's Family Edition yesterday.
TAH-DAH! The breaking discovery.
In my opinion,
Timo is da freaking producer to beat seriously. He's so diverse and unexpected.
Well I can't wait to hear more new goodies especially the mostly anticipated and talked about collaboration-production with the
Iceland Queen, Bjork.I am just super excited to tell others about this. That's all. Share the facts people. Share the love! Peace out. LOL.
-------
Rob And Amber went out? Can you believe it? On the
ALL STARS edition of amazing race. Can't stand
Charla & Mirna. Doesn't mean you are a dwarf, you get the outmost respect and best treatment and understanding from the OH-SO normal people. She's an uber sensitive best supporting actress for role-playing as the victim. She definitely touched lotsa hearts.
Please let them be out asap!
--------
Ok the loose ties are so yesterday. Baggy skaters pants are out. Same goes with the dark dirty blonde locks.
Skirts are cool. Fish Net Stockings too. Dancing is totally the in thing. Ridiculous C-rated lyrics made best for Disney Channels, are definitely
HOT now, since no one in goddamn America really understand metaphorical profound lyrics anymore. (Too busy trying hard to be wasted drunken party socialite. Well it helps if you got lotsa of the green lettuce like Paris.)
Meet the
NEW AVRIL LAVIGNE!!!Currently, She's loud and proud to be in skirts, dresses, and happily married and signed to
FORD Models whilst screaming out cheerleaders girly anthems.
Now who would have thought
FORD Models?
But no one's complaining it seems. Everyone has been very opened to her new image and comeback! Well me too. I didn't say I was complaining, did I? Just updates and pure FYI.

There's so many talk shows around in TV nowadays. Last time there were the famous few ones:
Oprah to be the most favourite of all
David Letterman,
Rosie O'Donnell
Ellen Degeneres
Dick Clark
Now, we also got retired supermodels, retired or 'wasted' actors coming up with their very own talk show. But compared to the old timers, Tyra, The Tony Carnaz Show, has a long long way to go to compete with the other A-listers.
Was watching snippets of interviews or talks with their invited guest from each of these shows, in youtube. I love YouTube. The best entertainment for someone who's waiting to serve the governmnet two years of their life.
I am not going to rant about the quality of the show. Most really didn't catch my attention except, Ellen, David's and Craig Ferguson! That's because of KATE WALSH.
Who the hell is Kate Walsh? She's the red haired actress from Grey's Anatomy. She plays Patrick Dempsey's wife(exwife? I don't know. haven't watch Season 3.) Dr Adisson Sheppard. She's the gynaecologist? Pardon me for the spelling. hahaha. Not a spell bee here.
Kate's interviews are always different from time to time and from shows to shows. She always have some new stories to entertain us. And I liked it that it doesn't sound scripted, instead its like stories from a drunken woman's mouth. She's not drunk though as the show was filmed. At least I chose to believe. HAHAHA. They're hilarious, spontaneous and deliciously entertaining. Worth a listen and watch.
Pure entertainment i recommend!
